BabyFirstTV Celebrates First Anniversary

LOS ANGELES, May 11:
BabyFirstTV, the only 24/7 commercial-free channel in the U.S. targeted at
babies, toddlers and their parents, will launch a new lineup of animated and
live-action series to celebrate its one-year anniversary this month.

BabyFirstTV, which made its
official debut in May 2006, has launched outside the U.S. in markets across
Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. Marking its one-year
anniversary this month, BabyFirstTV will launch a lineup of new series designed
specifically for the channel’s young viewers and their parents, including: Harry
The Bunny,
which stars a bunny named Harry
whose adventures familiarize babies and toddlers with daily routines such as
brushing teeth, cuddling with a teddy bear and more; Shushybye Baby, which encourages children to look forward to bedtime
with positive values-based bedtime stories and original songs performed by the
Shushybye Dream Band; Arti Party, which
presents tracing as a fun-filled guessing game; Peekaboo, I See You, which stars a friendly character named P-Boo who
likes to hide things for children to find; and Where Do They Go?, which introduces young viewers to the concept of
categorization. Additional series also debuting on BabyFirstTV include Musti,
Clay World, Bloop & Loop, What Is It?

and Spirello.

Through interactive subtitles,
the channel guides parents on words and movements to use with their baby during
the programs. Parents are also aided by a color-coded programming guide in
which BabyFirstTV’s flower logo changes colors according to the specific
program content. The channel also works closely to develop programming with an
extensive network of renowned authorities in every area of early childhood
psychology and education.

“We are extremely pleased to
celebrate our first year anniversary on the air,” said Sharon Rechter, the
executive VP of BabyFirstTV. “After working to develop BabyFirstTV for several
years prior to our launch in May 2006, we are gratified by the enormous
reaction of the channel by parents and child development professionals alike.
And according to subscribing parents nationwide, our main audience of babies
and toddlers are also delighted by BabyFirstTV as they are introduced to such
categories as art and music, shapes and colors, numbers, animals and much more.”
