AmericanLife TV Plans Robert Altman Tribute

WASHINGTON D.C., November 30: The AmericanLife TV Network,
which targets the “Baby Boomer” generation, is paying tribute to the late
director, writer and producer Robert Altman with a special week of Combat! episodes that he directed.

The episodes of the war series from the early 1960s that
were directed by Altman, who passed away November 20, will air from December 4
to December 8 at 7 p.m.

“We very rarely change our schedule on such short notice,
but Altman was such an influence on the Baby Boomer generation through such
seminal films as M*A*S*H and Nashville,” said Larry Meli, the president and COO of
AmericanLife TV Network. “He also directed 10 amazing episodes of AmericanLife
TV’s most popular classic TV series, Combat!, so a Combat! salute to Altman seemed most appropriate.”

Meli continued, “Altman’s work during the first season of
the acclaimed war drama in 1962-63 has barely been acknowledged in all the
glowing write-ups in recent days, but viewers of this special week will see
some of the TV medium’s greatest work ever.”
