AETN UK Adds to Programming Team

LONDON: AETN UK has named Stephen Roberts the head of program scheduling and has promoted members of the senior programming team across a variety of departments.

Roberts, who has worked at Discovery Communications Europe, The Africa Channel, Hallmark and National Geographic Channel, among others, will report to Adam MacDonald, the VP of programming at AETN UK. Roberts is responsible for managing a team of ten program schedulers across all channels in the U.K. and Ireland, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Benelux, Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe.

As a company, we are keen to build on our talented programming team bringing new expertise into the business as well as promoting our in-house programming executives across commissioning, acquisitions, editorial and compliance, and research.’’

Rachel Job, the co-production and acquisitions manager for HISTORY and Military History, has been promoted to head of acquisitions and commissioning at the channels. Sarah Proctor joins AETN UK as acquisitions and commissioning editor for HISTORY and Military History.

Koulla Anastasi, previously the senior manager of program content, has been promoted to head of acquisitions and commissioning at the Crime & Investigation Network and BIO. Jinal Patel, formerly the senior acquisitions executive for BIO, is now acquisitions and commissioning senior editor for the network.

Michelle Clarke, previously acting revoicing production manager, has been promoted to acquisitions and commissioning coordinator across all channels. Editorial and compliance manager Emma Beaumont, has been promoted to head of editorial and compliance. She oversees Sebrina Zeki, who recently joined the department from Channel 4 as editorial and compliance producer, and Gareth Moore and Dawn Griffiths, editorial and compliance assistants.
