HIT Veteran Joins Parthenon

LONDON, August 13: Marie
Chappelow, who has been with HIT Entertainment for the last seven years, is
joining Parthenon Entertainment Group to head up its children’s programming
division.

In her role as commercial
director of children’s, which begins in October, Chappelow will oversee TV
distribution, co-production fundraising, sales and acquisitions for Parthenon
Kids. She joins the firm after a seven-year run as the VP of programming
distribution at HIT.

Carl Hall, the CEO of
Parthenon Entertainment Group, said of the appointment: “I first met Marie when
she started at HIT, where we worked on a number of projects together. I
couldn’t be more delighted that she is coming to head up Parthenon Kids. She
has a great reputation in the industry and her relationships with key
broadcasters are unparalleled. We look forward to welcoming her in October.”

Chappelow added: “I have
watched Parthenon’s foray into the world of kids’ entertainment with great
interest. The company has grown and flourished over the last six years since
its inception, and I consider it to be one of the most dynamic
production/distribution houses in the marketplace. There are some fantastic
projects in the pipeline, including Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist and A Child’s Christmas. I am excited to be joining the Parthenon team. ”
