SPTI to Represent Strix Catalogue in Asia

HONG KONG, February 19:
Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) will represent Strix Television’s
complete catalogue in all of Asia, excluding Japan.

Under the deal, SPTI will
represent more than 70 formats from Strix to license to Asian broadcasters or
for SPTI to produce directly. The formats include The Farm, The Bar, Phone Booth, A
Chef in the Family
, Floor
Filler
, Happy Hour, LOL,
And Action and Kids in
Charge
, among others.

This deal follows a
previous agreement between the two companies that was inked in October, which
sees SPTI representing the Strix catalogue throughout Latin America.

highly successful, creative formats to Asian audiences,” said Todd

outstanding track record and long history in licensing and co-producing scripted
and unscripted formats in Asia and the deal marks a great step forward in
expanding our light-entertainment portfolio. We are excited to be bringing new
and unique ideas to the unscripted marketplace in Asia and are confident that the
Strix formats can be successfully adapted here.”

Robert Aschberg, the CEO
