Fox International Channels Takes BabyTV Stake

LOS ANGELES, October 8: News Corporation's Fox
International Channels has taken a “major
stake” in BabyTV for an undisclosed sum.

Launched in Israel in
2003, the channel is dedicated to infants and toddlers under three.
Commercial-free, BabyTV is carried on more than 75 platforms in 50-plus
countries. The service is produced by a team of award-winning
content experts and leading child psychologists, and has some 60 series on air
and over 30 series in production.

Following the acquisition, BabyTV will become a core
channel in FIC’s offering, joining a bouquet that includes FOX, FOX Life, FOX
Crime, FX, National Geographic and others. BabyTV will benefit from a worldwide
infrastructure via FIC’s 29 regional offices and its promotional outlets.

David Haslingden, the CEO of FIC, said, "BabyTV has
proved to be tremendously successful as a new service for parents and babies
and an innovative player in the children’s TV industry. It has established a
new niche in the market and solidified its presence there rapidly. With its
global distribution, strong management team, and a genuinely quality content
offering, we see BabyTV as a valuable addition to the FOX family of channels.”

BabyTV is currently owned by its founders and creators,
including Liran Talit, who has led BabyTV’s expansion into the international
market and will continue to head BabyTV as managing director. Ron Isaak, a
co-founder with Talit, will continue to act as director of programming.
