Off the Fence to Deliver Mystery/Crime Docs to British Broadcaster

BRISTOL, February 4: Off
the Fence (OTF) has licensed to Crime and Investigation Network UK the rights
to four mystery/crime documentaries, including The Death of JFK Jr.

All four documentaries
were produced by Lincoln Square Productions for The Learning Channel US.

The Death of JFK Jr. is a 50-minute special that chronicles the
mysterious disappearance of the heir to the Kennedy dynasty, who, along with
his wife Carolyn and her sister Lauren Bessette, disappeared while in flight to
Hyannis Port.

In addition to The
Death of JFK Jr.
, the network has
acquired Children of Waco,
which looks at the U.S. government’s 51-day siege in 1993 of the Branch
Davidian cult’s compound; Tragedy in Amish Country, which investigates the events an Amish community
that was terrorized by a gunman in 2006; and Heaven’s Gate: The Definitive
Story
, which reveals the history
of the Heaven’s Gate cult that stunned the world with the largest mass suicide
on U.S. soil.

“Our expertise in factual
programming has enabled these deals and, in particular, we have had a lot of
success in the mystery/crime genre,” said Bo Stehmeier, the head of sales and
co-productions at Off the Fence. “We’re definitely looking for more projects of
this nature.”

channel director of the Crime and Investigation Network, added: “We are
delighted to acquire this high-quality product for our channels.”
