Talpa Sets Up Distribution Arm

HILVERSUM, February 8: John de Mol’s Talpa Media Group has
set up an international distribution division to exploit its completed
productions and its formats.

The launch of Talpa Content follows the recent American deal
on the format The Golden Cage with ABC.
Its catalogue includes reality entertainment, factual entertainment, light
entertainment, game shows and drama. All content within the catalogue is
devised by the content department in the Netherlands and by Talpa Scandinavia,
the Stockholm affiliate headed by Anna Carrfors Bråkenhielm. Talpa Content will
be based out of Talpa’s headquarters in the Netherlands. Maarten Meijs has been
tapped as manager of international licensing. Jonas Linnander-Manfred in the
Stockholm office completes the international licensing team/department.
