LONDON, November 22: Eddie
Cunningham has been appointed president of Universal Pictures International
Entertainment (UPIE), and will assume his post on January 1, 2007.

Cunningham, who will
continue to be based in London, will report to Rick Finkelstein, the vice
chairman of Universal Pictures and to David Linde, the co-chairman of Universal
Pictures.

In his new position,

Australia & New Zealand.

“We are very pleased to
acknowledge Eddie’s enormous contributions to Universal’s international success
with this new position”, says Finkelstein. “He has played a key role in
developing the home entertainment markets in the UK and other important
territories, and his relationships and experience will benefit us tremendously
as we continue to develop our home entertainment business globally.”
