Corus Promotes Bianchi at W Network

TORONTO, November 22:
Corus Entertainment has promoted Vibika Bianchi to director of original
productions at its women’s channel, W Network.

Bianchi has been a member
of the original productions team since joining W Network in 2004. She has had a
role on such shows as The Smart Woman Survival Guide, Take this House and Sell It, Maxed Out and The Shopping Bags.
In her new position she will continue to partner with the independent
production community to create programming for women.

Prior to W Network,
Bianchi produced, developed and consulted for numerous production companies and
broadcasters, including Alliance Atlantis, True Entertainment, Breakthrough
Films and TV, Life Network, CBC, CTV and MTV. Earlier, she was head of
production at Barna-Alper Productions.

Maria Armstrong, who
previously held the position of director of original Productions, W Network,
has moved on to pursue projects with her production company Armstrong
Entertainment. Armstrong will continue to provide consulting and executive
producer services on select W Network projects.

W Network is watched by
over 10 million viewers in Canada in an average month. It is owned by Corus
Entertainment.
