MarVista Shuffles Top Executives

LOS
ANGELES, September 22: Top management has been reorganized at MarVista, the
independent producer and distributor of features and family entertainment
programming.

Company
founder Joseph Szew is handing over the CEO reigns to his son, Fernando Szew,
and Michael D. Jacobs, formerly president of production and distribution, now
serves as the company president.

Joseph Szew, who takes on
the title of COO/CFO, and partner George Port, executive VP of MarVista and
president of the company’s recently launched MarVista Home Entertainment Label,
will continue to lend support to the new heads.

Newly appointed executives
to support the growing company include Sue Reiner to the position of head of
television. Carol Holdsworth is appointed to the position of VP of sales and
marketing. Zac Reeder was recently appointed as head of acquisitions. Rounding
out the executive team is the company’s VP of business affairs, Thomas C. Emma,
who provides support for the company’s production, acquisition and distribution
activities.

“From day one, my father provided the space for us to grow as
a team and the environment for success,” commented Fernando Szew. “Now, after
three years of collectively implementing our new production and distribution
business model as MarVista Entertainment, I am excited to lead the company into
our next phase and committed to preserve our corporate cultural makeup while we
expand.”

“We are incredibly pleased
to have taken MarVista into the production arena and are honored to have
established relationships with key production and broadcast partners, both here
in the US and overseas, to accomplish our goals,” adds Jacobs. “Fernando and I
have worked very hard to assemble the team that will undoubtedly allow us to
continue to move forward with this strategy.”

“I am proud and overjoyed
to see where we have come as a company and to be a part of what we have created
with my ever-present 3Ps—patience, perseverance and primarily passion,”
says Joseph Szew. “I know that this formula for success will continue as
Fernando, Michael and our whole team take us to new levels of success.”

As part of its business
strategy to be actively involved in the production of both television series
and movies, MarVista has co-produced with Brookwell McNamara Entertainment the
primetime drama series Beyond the Break, which debuted this
summer on Viacom’s The N. More episodes are scheduled to broadcast in spring
2007. Movies titles include the recently broadcast Cries in the Dark, and Past Sins on Lifetime Television; Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York on NBC Universal’s SCI FI Channel; and Instant
Message
, which aired on ABC
Family.
