Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is merging its networks, distribution and home-entertainment operations under the leadership of Keith Le Goy, appointing regional chiefs and creating a direct-to-consumer unit.

The new structure was announced by Mike Hopkins, chairman of Sony Pictures Television, in a memo to staff. It is intended to “create a stronger and more agile organization, one that is better able to pivot and capitalize on opportunities in a fast-changing and increasingly complex global marketplace,” Hopkins said.

Reporting to Le Goy will be Mark Young for Western Europe, John Rossiter for CEEMA, Ken Lo for the Asia Pacific and Alex Marin for Latin America and the Caribbean. Flory Bramnick will oversee U.S. syndication duties and advertiser sales. Jason Spivak will manage U.S. home entertainment, pay TV and SVOD sales. Angel Orengo, previously head of distribution for EMEA, will relocate to Los Angeles to oversee distribution operations under Le Goy. Distribution strategy and content management will be led by Mike Wald, with the added oversight of content acquisition, content partnerships and global partner marketing.

NP Singh remains in charge of the India operations, reporting to Hopkins and overseeing channels and TV distribution.

The new direct-to-consumer unit, including Crackle, Funimation, Film1 OTT and Animax on demand, will be led by Eric Berger, reporting directly to Hopkins. Berger retains oversight of the U.S. channels business.
