NZ’s TV3 to Air The Gruen Transfer

SYDNEY: ABC Commercial has sold all three seasons of the panel show The Gruen Transfer to MediaWorks TV to air on TV3 of New Zealand.

The series looks at how advertising works and how it works on the public, working to make the audience look differently at the constructed world around them. The show is hosted by comedian Wil Anderson. The Gruen Transfer has been a top performer on ABC1.

Director of ABC Commercial, Lynley Marshall, is pleased with the deal. She said that many of the campaigns and topics discussed in the series were just as familiar to New Zealand audiences as they were to Australians. “As they said in one of the several pitch segments that featured New Zealand content—it was 100 percent there for the taking!”
