MP & Silva Takes Rights for Brazilian League for Asia

MIAMI: MP & Silva has secured the rights for the Brazilian Série A from Globo for six territories across the Asia Pacific.

MP & Silva now hold the rights for the Brazilian Série A 2011 season, including two live matches per round, along with Globo’s Brazilian Football Magic package and the FootBrazil weekly magazine program. MP & Silva also has options for the remaining matches and auxiliary programming. The deal covers six Asia-Pacific territories, including Australia and Indonesia.

The package of rights is further complemented by the inclusion of the traditional Campeonato Paulista (also known as the São Paulo State Championship or the Paulistão), which runs from January to May, when the Brasileirão has its season break.
