Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks’ Love Nature 4K has commissioned the new docuseries Malawi Wildlife Rescue from Icon Films.

Malawi Wildlife Rescue will follow the work of a veterinarian in East Africa as she helps rescue, treat and rehabilitate large animals. The 6×60-minute program is due to debut on Love Nature 4K’s linear and streaming video platforms internationally as well as on Smithsonian Channel in the U.S.

Blue Ant International will handle licensing for Malawi Wildlife Rescue.

Laura Marshall, Icon Films’ managing director and co-founder, stated: “We are delighted to be working with Love Nature 4K, highlighting the work of this talented and dynamic young veterinarian and her incredible team.”

“Storytelling that creates clear human connections to the natural world is at the core of what we do at Love Nature 4K, showcasing the many ways that our lives intersect with wildlife and the environment,” added Carlyn Staudt, the executive VP of programming and development at Love Nature. “Dr. Amanda Salb’s passion and commitment to animals is real and complements our mission to share stories about experts immersed in nature in a meaningful and inspiring way.”
