There’s a wealth of new programming coming to Discovery Communications’ bouquet of networks, including the flagship Discovery Channel lining up Rory Kennedy’s Above and Beyond: NASA’s Journey to Tomorrow and Investigation Discovery exploring hate crimes.

With NASA celebrating its 60th anniversary, Discovery shines a spotlight on the historic institution. Above and Beyond also sheds light on the agency’s lesser-known area of focus: the vital role NASA has played in measuring the health of Earth. The documentary special will air on Discovery in 2018.

On TLC, Trading Spaces makes its return on April 7. The ninth season premiere will kick off with a one-hour reunion special, reuniting the cast for the first time since the show went off the air in 2008. New design experts Brett Tutor, Joanie Sprague, John Gidding, Kahi Lee and Sabrina Soto will also be seen on the upcoming TLC GO original series Training Spaces. TLC’s Nate & Jeremiah By Design moves back to Saturday nights starting April 7.

Investigation Discovery (ID) has lined up the new two-part special He Lied About Everything, which tells the true tale of the love affair between award-winning investigative news producer Benita Alexander and the world-renowned surgeon Paolo Macchiarini. ID will explore cases of violence driven by prejudice in the new series Love & Hate Crime. For the second quarter of 2018, the network has The Unsolved, a six-part series that follows former Rhode Island police sergeant Derrick Levasseur and forensic psychologist Kris Mohandie as they answer the pleas of desperate families to investigate murder cases that have officially gone cold.

Animal Planet has greenlit Dodo Heroes, from Group Nine’s The Dodo. The network is also bringing back the Puppy Bowl on on February 4.
