U.S. arts network Ovation has picked up season one of The Wine Show, featuring Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys, from Sky Vision.

In The Wine Show, Goode (The Crown, Downton Abbey) and Rhys (The Americans, Brothers and Sisters) take viewers on a journey to learn about wine. They set off on a new challenge in every episode, exploring different parts of Italy and uncovering some of the best wines in the country and the stories behind them. Wine experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer guide them along the way. The Wine Show, as well as other recent Sky Vision acquisitions Masters of Photography and The Art Show, will be featured in Ovation’s new Art Without Borders slate, which launches in Q2 2018.

“Winemaking and wine appreciation are popular artful pursuits that will really appeal to our upscale audience,” said Scott Woodward, the executive VP of programming at Ovation. “Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys have a wonderful, charming rapport, as well as extensive, loyal fan bases of their own, so we are looking forward to tapping into that to introduce new fans to the network.”

Gillian Rose, the senior VP of sales and acquisitions for the U.S. at Sky Vision, commented, “The combination of beautiful wine, breathtaking scenery and top-class Hollywood talent in Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys is the perfect combination, and we know viewers are going to love it.”
