Sinking Ship Preps Dino Dana Feature Film

Dino Dana, an Emmy-nominated television show from the Sinking Ship Entertainment catalog, is getting its own feature-length family film.

Starring Michela Luci and Saara Chaudry, Dino Dana: The Movie is currently filming on location in Toronto. The movie will follow the adventures of the titular 10-year-old, who is training to become a paleontologist. It is written by J.J. Johnson and Christin Simms, with Johnson also serving as director.

Sinking Ship is producing Dino Dana: The Movie with the participation of Telefilm Canada and in association with Amazon Prime and TVOkids. The film is expected to hit theaters across North America in late 2019 or early 2020.

Dino Dana has always been about finding the wonder in science,” said Johnson. “With this movie, we’re able to take our audience on our biggest adventure yet while at the same time revealing a startling new discovery about dinosaurs.”
