Floogals Heads to Nick Jr. Too in the U.K.

Viacom’s Nick Jr. Too has snapped up the broadcast rights for Nevision’s popular show Floogals, which is distributed by Zodiak Kids.

Floogals will debut on Nick Jr. Too in the U.K. in December 2018. The 52×11-minute series is co-produced by Nevision, Zodiak Kids Studios and Universal Kids with Jellyfish Pictures. A third season is currently in production for co-pro partner Universal Kids and commissioned by Channel 5’s Milkshake!

Louise Bucknole, the VP of programming for VIMN Kids, remarked: “We are delighted to be introducing the adventurous and curious world of Floogals to the Nick Jr. Too audience.”

Nigel Pickard, executive producer and director at Nevision, noted: “Floogals goes from strength to strength on both sides of the Atlantic, continuing to be a top-rated show for both Univeral Kids and Milkshake! We are excited that Nick Jr. Too has picked up the show, which will introduce the Floogals to a whole new audience across the U.K.”

In other news, Viacom International Studios has announced the start of production on Club 57, which marks the first co-pro between Rainbow and Nickelodeon Latin America. The musical show centers on a brother and sister who accidentally time travel to the year 1957. The cast of Club 57 includes Eva Luna Montaner, Riccardo Frascari, Sebastian Silva, Martin Barba, Angela Rincon and Carolina Mestrovic, among others. Music is being composed and produced by Ricardo Montaner. The series is created by screenwriter Catharina Ledoboer (Every Witch Way).
