Aussie Drama Redfern Now Heads to France TV

ABC Commercial has licensed the first two installments of the Indigenous Australian drama series Redfern Now to French pubcaster France Télévisions for three years.

Redfern Now tells the stories of inner-city Indigenous life in Australia. The cast includes Deborah Mailman (Mabo), Dean Daley-Jones (Toomelah), Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires), Jimi Bani (Mabo), Shari Sebbens (The Sapphires), Wayne Blair (Cleverman) and Kelton Pell (Cloudstreet). It will debut on France O and Outre-Mer 1ère later this year.

Redfern Now is produced by Blackfella Films in association with ABC TV, Screen Australia and Screen NSW.
