Zone Preps Original Productions in Asia

DELHI/LONDON, March 27: Zonemedia’s Zone Reality Channel in
Asia has announced plans for two locally produced shows: A Life
Extraordinary and Fool Proof.

A Life Extraordinary
features real life events and people and includes paranormal happenings and
inexplicable events. Stories will come from all over India and the show will
include interviews with relatives or the subjects themselves, using
reconstructions and graphics to recount their stories.

In Fool Proof, partly
shot in the studio with demonstrations and partly on the road, clairvoyance,
tarot readings, psychic beliefs are all reviewed and explained.

Further Asian commissions are due to be announced soon, the
channel said. In addition, the Asian feed will also soon have Asian-themed
on-screen channel idents and filler programming that are currently being filmed
in India, Singapore and Thailand.

“It is extremely important to us to reflect the mood and
voice of our viewers and we have decided that the time is right to make the
channel even more relevant to our audiences,” said Zonemedia’s chief
programming officer, Chris Sharp. “We believe the new look and feel of the
channel, as well as almost 40 half hours of original, locally created
programming, will be welcomed throughout the Asian region.”
