Zodiak Brings Facebook Voting to Swedish Talent Format

LONDON: Zodiak Active, part of the Zodiak Media Group, has been tapped to create a Facebook audience engagement app to accompany the Swedish singing competition True Talent on TV3.

The show sees aspiring singers compete against each other as they attempt to convince a panel of judges and at-home viewers of their ability based on voice alone. TV3 has worked with Zodiak Active and fellow Zodiak Media Group company Mastiff to build audience participation into the format, allowing viewers to decide which contestant is eliminated from each weekly live performance show. They will also be able to influence and interact with their favorite contestants throughout the week.

The app, developed for Zodiak Active by partner Enteraction, will feature a range of content and games as well. The audience can also vote using free iPhone and Android apps developed by Zodiak Active.

Edward Humphrey, the senior VP of Zodiak Active, said: “We hope to have created a truly immersive experience for the viewer and a genuinely interactive TV format. As audience insight from our digital platforms will be fed directly back into the show, contestants will be able to review detailed statistics to discover exactly who their fans are and what they’re thinking about their progress through the competition.”
