ZDF Spotlights Cold War & Fall of the Berlin Wall

MAINZ: A collection of titles in ZDF Enterprises‘ catalogue commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, including the 2×50-minute Busting the Berlin Wall.

The HD Busting the Berlin Wall is a co-production from HISTORY, RAI and SBS. The program will be given a special screening in New York’s Paley Center at this fall’s MediaDocFest. The Miracle of Berlin continues to generate strong interest. The 105-minute film is a fictional portrayal of an East-German family in the throes of the popular uprising against the Communist regime. France’s Canal+ has already secured the rights to the drama.

Other programs documenting recent history from ZDF Enterprises include The Berlin Airlift, Death of a Stasi Man and The Uprising: German Democratic Republic, 17th June 1953.
