Yu-Gi-Oh! Gets New Web Portal

LONDON: 4Kids Entertainment, TOKYO and NAS have teamed up with MadeByPi to develop a dedicated global website for the animated series Yu-Gi-Oh!, with the portal set to launch in November to coincide with the franchise’s 10th anniversary.

An English-language version of the site will launch initially. German, Italian and French versions are set to follow. The website will include information on all the characters and story lines from the past 10 years of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s. The portal will also link to various websites, including local broadcasters’ websites and websites related to the trading cards and video games. Fans can become members of the online club, which will allow them to access exclusive content, including competitions and downloads.

“Yu-Gi-Oh! has been a big international hit over the last decade and the new website is sure to boost the profile of what is already an incredibly popular property,” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, the managing director at 4Kids Entertainment International.
