TORONTO: YTV has given a second season order to the sketch comedy show That’s So Weird! from DHX Media-owned Halifax Film.

The live-action sketch comedy series is set at Weird TV, a forgotten cable television network that is taken over by cast member Alana and her friends. The order for 13 new half-hour episodes follows DECODE Enterprises’ recent sale of the tween- and teen-targeted show to Boomerang Latin America and Nickelodeon Australia.

Josh Scherba, the senior VP of distribution of DECODE Enterprises, recently said of the show: “That’s So Weird! combines the best in tween comedy with great characters in a sketch-comedy format. It’s an innovative mix that has proved to be a great fit for YTV and we are sure will win new fans on these channels.”
