WE tv Expands Slate of Royal Content

NEW YORK, August 24: In continuing its commitment to provide
quality niche programming to women, WE tv has announced a slate of new content,
original and acquired, about all things “royal.”

This includes the renewal of American Princess, produced by Granada Media, which follows 20 women
as they compete in a series of challenges to test their suitability for a
princess lifestyle; Australian Princess, where Australian women vie for the prize of a real British royal
title; Royal Vacation Homes,
which explores the various destinations that the British royal family retreats
to; and the original special How to Marry a Prince, examining what it takes for a common woman to be
accepted into the royal family.

The expanded slate will also feature several Princess
Diana-themed specials, including Diana—The Night She Died, Diana
Revealed
and The Curse of Diana’s
Dresses
. Diana—The Night
She Died
is a one-hour doc, produced by
Psychology News, about the events leading up to and following the Princess’s
death. Diana Revealed features
Princess Diana delving into her innermost thoughts about her life, produced by
NBC News. The one-hour special The Curse of Diana’s Dresses, produced by Pilgrim Productions Canterbury, is the
true story of what happened to the buyers of Diana’s auctioned dresses.
