BURBANK: Scott Rowe has been appointed to the newly created role of senior VP of worldwide communications for the Warner Bros. Television Group, while Tammy Golihew has been upped to senior VP of publicity for Warner Bros. Television.

Rowe is responsible for managing all communications on a global basis. He will lead the various publicity teams, oversee trade, consumer, online and business press, as well as audience development outreach and social networking as they pertain to publicity, digital, industry issues, trend stories and strategic/crisis communications.

Golihew continues to oversee all consumer publicity and strategic business communications related to programming from Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television, Warner Bros. Animation and digital venture Studio 2.0. She reports to both Peter Roth, the president of Warner Bros. Television, and Rowe. Golihew will direct the activities of the TV publicity staff across print and broadcast media, along with direct-to-consumer, new media and social networking outlets. She’ll also work closely with show talent and producers, broadcast and cable partners and programming executives to devise series launch, ongoing publicity and awards campaigns, and will continue to manage business and trade press for the TV production divisions.

Rowe most recently served as the senior VP of corporate communications at Warner Bros. Entertainment. Golihew joined Warner Bros. in 2006 as the VP of publicity in the worldwide television marketing unit.

“Scott is passionate about television, he gets what we do and he knows intuitively how to generate media attention around our consumer initiatives and business objectives,” said Lisa Gregorian, the executive VP and chief marketing officer at Warner Bros. Television Group. “We’ll look to tap Scott’s expertise in communications and longstanding relationships with the media to help us get our messaging out as broadly, effectively and engagingly as possible. We’re excited to have him join the WBTVG team.”

“Tammy’s promotion is remarkably well-deserved,” added Roth. “She has a terrific business acumen which, combined with her publicity experience and great relationships with our shows and network partners, has delivered strong results. We look forward to our continued collaboration.”
