Warner Bros. Acquires Gaming Studio

BURBANK: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group has acquired the action and fantasy games developer Snowblind Studios for an undisclosed sum.

Announcing the deal, Kevin Tsujihara, the president of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, stated: "This is a good fit for Warner Bros. and Snowblind Studios. The arrangement broadens our portfolio with quality games and provides Snowblind with access to our global distribution and publishing capabilities. Snowblind has a great reputation and we are pleased to welcome them into the Warner Bros. family."

Snowblind Studios is known for the action role-playing games Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath and Justice League Heroes. For Warner Bros., the acquisition broadens its gaming portfolio, which already includes the development studios Monolith Productions and TT Games, whose LEGO Batman: The Videogame was a top-seller in 2008.
