LONDON: The 3D CGI animated series Jelly Jamm, produced by Spanish indies Vodka Capital, 737 Shaker and RTVE and Bandai, has secured a slot on Channel 5’s Milkshake! block in the U.K.

The preschool series follows the adventures of five wacky friends who live in harmony on a magical planet, where all music in the universe originates from. In addition to the 52×11-minute series, Jelly Jamm also has an integrated strategy for toys, books, home entertainment, music, L&M and a ground-breaking online musical world designed to engage children in learning and composing music through interactive edutainment games.

Steven J. Posner, the managing partner at Vodka Capital, commented: “Jelly Jamm is gaining a tremendous amount of traction globally. We are premiering this fall in over 150 countries and are absolutely thrilled that milkshake! has jumped on board. Milkshake! is a fantastic partner in the U.K. and a perfect complement to the premiere of Jelly Jamm on Cartoonito in the U.K.”

“Jelly Jamm will be an excellent and delicious addition to Milkshake‘s brilliant array of preschool programmes. The vibrancy, comedy and music is bound to delight our young audience,” said Jessica Symons, the commissioning editor for children’s at Milkshake! (Channel 5).

Posne added: “As independent producers, it’s always very challenging to gain the support of important European broadcasters for shows that have not proved themselves in the market. We are extremely fortunate in having Milkshake! as a key partner in the U.K. and they will certainly be a huge help in making Jelly Jamm a big hit.”
