VIZ Media Expands Latin American Reach of Naruto

SAN FRANCISCO, August 10: VIZ
Media has licensed the first season of 52 episodes of its popular anime series Naruto
to the terrestrial
broadcaster Corporacion Televen in Venezuela.

The series
launched on Televen last month. It is also seen pan-regionally on cable and has
also been sold to terrestrial broadcasters in Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador,
Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. Naruto has also launched in
the U.S. on Cartoon Network and on YTV in Canada.

Targeted at tweens
and teens, Naruto takes place in a world where ninjas are the ultimate power.
Through exciting adventures, the young ninjas learn the importance of
friendship, teamwork, loyalty, hard work, creativity, ingenuity and right
versus wrong.
