ViX Tops 10 Million Subs Mark

TelevisaUnivision’s streaming platform ViX recorded double-digit growth to top a global subscriber base of more than 10 million, the company revealed in its Q2 financials.

“This quarter reflects meaningful progress across our business, driven by a reimagined content strategy that’s beginning to show strategic payoff,” said Daniel Alegre, CEO of TelevisaUnivision. “By taking a holistic view of our investments—across premium scripted, live sports and multiplatform content—we’re seeing stronger performance and deeper audience engagement. Our direct-to-consumer business continues to scale, with ViX surpassing 10 million subscribers and delivering double-digit growth through disciplined execution across product and programming. With a fantastic team in place, including new key leadership hires, we’re energized by the continued momentum of our evolution as we head into the back half of 2025.”

Revenues in the period slipped slightly to $1.2 billion as a result of foreign currency fluctuations. U.S. revenues were up by 2 percent to $816 million, while revenues from Mexico were down 14 percent to $394 million.

Ad revenues slipped by 5 percent to $742 million, largely due to foreign exchange rates, with the U.S. down 2 percent but Mexico largely stable. Subscription and licensing revenues were up slightly ex-FX to $443 million.
