Virgin1 Commissions Cop Series

LONDON, April 10: Virgin1
has ordered Caribbean Cops, a
factual series following the police forces in Jamaica and elsewhere, from
October Films.

Shot on location in
Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago and St. Lucia, Caribbean Cops captures efforts of local police forces as they
attempt to keep the popular vacation spots safe. The eight hour-long episodes
take viewers behind-the-scenes of high-stakes raids and covert missions against
drug and weapon smugglers, robbers, pickpockets and auto thieves.

The series is executive produced by Adam Bullmore, the creative director
at October Films. Tricia O’Leary serves as series producer.

“Caribbean Cops is a perfect example of Virgin1’s strategy to create
compelling, populist primetime factual programming that both informs and
entertains,” said Daniela Neumann, Virgin1’s acting director of programming.
