Virgin to Launch Multiplatform Gaming Channel

LONDON, June 30: Virgin
Media Television (VMtv), in collaboration with Two Way Media, will launch a new
24-hour interactive gaming channel, Challenge Jackpot, on July 1, available on
digital TV via interactive television and online.

The channel will allow
viewers to play along and bet on casino-style games. Challenge Jackpot will be
available to Virgin Media customers as a 24/7 channel, and will be simulcast
after midnight on Virgin1 and Bravo 2, making it available to viewers in
Freeview and Sky homes. It is the only dedicated interactive gaming service
available on Virgin Media’s interactive platform, and is also available online
at challengejackpot.com.

The network will showcase
at least eight hours of live studio games each day. At launch, Challenge
Jackpot will debut its new flagship series Roulette Nation, with other casino-style games to come. Aside from
the live broadcast, produced by Two Way Media, viewers can play along with a
range of automated games that include Get Set Roulette, Face Up Hold ‘Em and
Hot Shot Keno. The channel joins the VMtv’s portfolio of cross-platform
entertainment brands that includes Challenge, Bravo, LIVING, Trouble and
Virgin1.

Riccardo Donato, VMtv’s
head of business development, said: “Two Way Media is the perfect partner to
bring Challenge Jackpot to our viewers. We are really excited about the
potential for the Challenge Jackpot brand to build a substantial new revenue
stream for VMtv.”

Jean de Fougerolles, the
CEO of Two Way Media, added: “It’s great to be working with VMtv who share our
vision of creating entertaining games that also combine the thrill and buzz of
a casino. The game-show heritage of Challenge makes this new venture a natural
and exciting proposition for VMtv’s audience.”
