VIMN Seals Raft of Sales from Preschool Catalogue

LONDON: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has secured a number of new international broadcasters for preschool shows from its Nickelodeon portfolio, including the math-based Team Umizoomi.

In the Asia Pacific, the newly released second season of Team Umizoomi is headed to Malaysia’s NTV7. Group TVA’s Yoopa in Canada and Teletica in Costa Rica picked up both seasons of the show, which combines 3D and 2D animation and live action.

Season one of Team Umizoomi was picked up by Ireland’s TG4, as well as MBC in the Middle East, which secured the show as part of a Nickelodeon block deal. TeleAmazonas of Ecuador also scored the show’s first season through a Nickelodeon block deal. Episodes 1 through 20 of the first season are also to air in Israel on Hop!

New Zealand’s Four signed up for a package of Nickelodeon shows that includes relicenses on Dora the Explorer seasons one through six; Go, Diego, Go! seasons one through four; and The Wonder Pets! seasons one through three. HK Medialink in Hong Kong is on board for season four of Dora the Explorer, along with a number of specials. Seasons four and five of Dora are also headed to Singapore’s MediaCorp. In Israel, Hop! picked up episodes 41 to 60 of Go, Diego, Go! and renewed Dora the Explorer episodes 1 to 20.

Across Latin America a number of preschool deals have been signed. FETV in Panama renewed seasons one through three of Go, Diego, Go! and seasons one and two of Ni Hao Kai-Lan. Megavision in Chile also renewed its deal for Dora the Explorer. Dora the Explorer and The Wonder Pets! continue to air on TV Cultura in Brazil. Dora the Explorer seasons three and four continue airing under license with Televisa in Mexico as well. TeleAmazonas in Ecuador locked in season one of Bubble Guppies. Teletica in Costa Rica took on a package that includes Dora the Explorer episodes from season six, the Ni Hao Kai-Lan special Princess Kai Lan and the first season of Bubble Guppies.
