VIMN Scores LatAm & Canadian Sales

LONDON: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has secured a range of deals across Latin America covering a number of genres, while in Canada sales were made from its young-adult catalogue.

Globosat in Brazil signed up for the BET Awards 2010, while Campus TV in Honduras is on board for the Video Music Awards 2011. Canal 12 in El Salvador went for the 2011 Movie Awards, which take place June 5, as well as the Video Music Awards. City TV of Colombia took on Shakira Unplugged. TV Jamaica picked up a package that includes True Jackson season one, Planet Sheen and Rocket Power. The deal also includes the animated series Fairly Odd Parents, episodes 121 to 126, as well as Penguins of Madagascar season two and Rugrats season two. Televisa in Mexico’s package includes season one of Victorious, episodes from season two of iCarly and a selection of renewals along with The Troop season one. Also included are seasons one and two of The Mighty B!, season two of Penguins of Madagascar, new episodes from season seven of SpongeBob SquarePants and renewals on 124 episodes as well as Back at the Barnyard season two, 30 episodes of Fairly Odd Parents and season one of Fanboy & Chum Chum. In Costa Rica, Teletica snapped up a package of Nickelodeon live-action shows that includes season one of Victorious, season two of The Troop, season two of True Jackson and season three of iCarly. TV Hondureña in Honduras and TeleAmazonas in Ecuador both opted for the year two programming for their Nickelodeon branded block deals.

In Canada, VIMN firmed up deals for young-adult programming. Canada’s Musique Plus went for VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders and 100 Most Shocking Music Moments. Musique Plus is also airing season seven of Room Raiders, season 19 of The Challenge: Fresh Meat, season six of The Hills and the first season of 16 & Pregnant. Also in Canada, VRAK went for season two of iCarly and is airing the Kids’ Choice Awards 2011.
