in the Baltics and the Prestige package for Viasat subscribers in Ukraine.
TV1000 Action, which first launched in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in 1989, will
be the seventh channel provided by Viasat to subscribers in these regions.

Irina Gofman, the CEO of
the Modern Times Group for Russia and CIS, said: “We have successfully built
our portfolio of pay-TV channels in these countries over the last five years,
especially the TV1000 channels. To add yet another is a natural next step
considering the increasing demand for more action movies. In creating this new
channel we are utilizing Viasat Broadcasting’s experience with TV1000 Action in
the Nordic countries.”
