Viasat Rolls Out VOD Service

STOCKHOLM, October 22:
Viasat will launch a premium on-demand service for ViasatPlus HD subscribers in
Scandinavia, beginning in Sweden this week.

The offering enables subscribers
with a ViasatPlusHD box to watch on demand all current movies on the six
thematic TV1000 channels, as well as access a library of movies and TV series,
with 150 titles available at launch. All the movies currently available on the
TV1000 channels are available for free to those subscribers that have the movie
package. Other movies and series will be priced between 19 and 49 Swedish
kronor per title. The content is available in standard definition.
ViasatOnDemand launches as a premium service in Sweden this week, in Norway and
Denmark next week and in Finland later this year.
