National Geographic Content Now Available on C4’s VOD Service

LONDON, June 11: In a digital distribution deal brokered by
Huge Entertainment, National Geographic Channel (NGC) content is now available
on 4oD, the video-on-demand service from the U.K.’s Channel 4.

4oD will feature up to 80 hours of NGC programming at any
one time. The deal adds to NGC’s portfolio of linear and non-linear services,
and is a key part of its overall new media strategy, which includes VOD, mobile
TV, interactive TV, IPTV and podcasting.

NGC’s award-winning documentaries such as In the Womb,
Air Crash Investigation, Inside 9/11, Da Vinci Code,
and America’s Hardest Prisons, as well as Nat Geo Wild programs such as Most
Amazing Moments
and The Dark Side
of Elephants
, will be available to 4oD’s
pay-per-view subscribers via a branded area within the service.

National Geographic Channel is available on other VOD
services including Sky, Virgin Media, BT Vision and Tiscali.
