VH1 Rock Docs Presents Series on Counterculture Icons

NEW YORK: VH1 and VH1 Classic are set to air Lords of Revolution, a new five-part series spotlighting leaders of cultural transformations, as a week-long event, which kicks off August 10.

Narrated by Richard Belzer, each hour-long installment of Lords of the Revolution celebrates counterculture icons of the ’60s and ’70s. The series premieres August 10 with a spotlight on Muhammad Ali, followed by episodes on Cheech and Chong, The Black Panthers, Timothy Leary and Andy Warhol. The series features rare archival footage and photos as well as new first-hand accounts and interviews.

Lords of the Revolution is the newest entry in the Emmy Award-winning VH1 Rock Doc franchise. Martin Torgoff is the writer and consulting producer. Ted Kim serves as supervising producer. Brad Abramson, Stephen Mintz, Shelly Tatro and Jeff Olde serve as executive producers for VH1.
