U.S. X Factor Headed to Latin America

MIAMI: SPE (Sony Pictures Entertainment) Networks Latin America has acquired the upcoming FOX U.S. version of The X Factor from FremantleMedia Enterprises.

The deal, brokered by Sheila Aguirre, FME’s senior VP of sales for Latin America and Hispanic-speaking U.S.A., will see the show airing pan-regionally across Central and South America and the Caribbean this fall. Sony is also the Latin American home of American IdolAmerica’s Got Talent and Celebrity Apprentice.

The X Factor is generating a lot of excitement in the U.S.,” commented Aguirre. “We are delighted to build upon our successes in the region, and that SPE Networks Latin America will make one of the best global entertainment shows available to their audiences.”

The X Factor is produced by Syco TV and FremantleMedia North America, with Simon Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Richard Holloway and Andrew Llinares as executive producers.
