Two New Projects in the Works from Breakthrough

TORONTO, January 7:
Breakthrough Films & Television has begun production on two new projects, Mini-Monsters
of Amazonia
and Stay Tooned.

Mini-Monsters of
Amazonia
is a scientific/adventure
documentary special that follows a group of international scientists to Ecuador
to research the unexplained mysteries of the treehoppers, veritable
"mini-monsters" of the insect world. The one-hour special, a
Canada/France co-production between Breakthrough Films & Television and
Mona Lisa Productions in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
(CBC), is set to air later this year as part of CBC's science, nature and
technology series The Nature of Things. Arte (France) will be airing the two-hour special.

Stay Tooned is a live-action factual entertainment series
about the world of television animation that looks at animated programs that
defined our popular culture. Each episode will feature a mix of interviews from
experts, celebrities and fans, along with cartoon clips and behind-the-scenes
footage. The 13×30-minute series is produced by Breakthrough Films &
Television in association with creator/producer Dale Burshtein and Canwest. The
series will air on TVtropolis.

Stay Tooned will be internationally distributed by
Breakthrough Entertainment. Mini-Monsters of Amazonia will be distributed by Breakthrough Entertainment
and Marathon France for both the one-hour and two-hour specials.
