YouTube to Establish Production Hub in New York

SAN BRUNO: YouTube is planning to open a new production center in New York next year, building out from its bases in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

The move was announced during a keynote address at the online production conference VidCon. Dubbed YouTube Space NY, the studio will be located in the Chelsea Marketplace district in New York City. It is scheduled to open by October 2014.

YouTube Space NY is expected to span around 20,000 to 25,000 square feet. It will serve as a hub where creators can go to work on their professional videos.
