YouTube Sets Up Elections Hub

MIAMI: Univision News has partnered with YouTube to provide coverage of the upcoming Democratic and Republican conventions as well as the U.S. presidential election for the YouTube Elections Hub.

Coverage kicks off today and runs through November 6, which is election day. The Univision News team will be contributing exclusive reporting and analysis to the YouTube Elections Hub, which will serve as a one-stop shop for key political moments. The Hub will also feature speeches from the floor of the Republication and Democratic National Conventions and more. Univision News is one of eight news organizations contributing, but is the only Spanish-language media company doing so.

“This initiative enhances our mission to inform our audience, providing viewers with breaking news and culturally-relevant analysis of the world’s top stories, across as many media platforms as possible,” said Isaac Lee, the president of Univision News. “With a recent Pew study showing that YouTube is a major source of news video, we feel the YouTube Elections Hub will provide a valuable service to voters. And with Univision News on board, it will be able to reach those who crave political information produced with Hispanics in mind.”
