WWE Ups Execs to Lead Growth Initiatives

STAMFORD: WWE has elevated Michelle D. Wilson, George Barrios and Stephanie McMahon as part of the company's strategic growth efforts.

Previously the chief marketing officer of WWE, Michelle D. Wilson has been promoted to chief revenue and marketing officer. In her new role she will be charged with managing the company's revenue lines and retail consumer products business. She will work under Vince McMahon, chairman and CEO of WWE.

Formerly the chief financial officer of WWE, George Barrios has been upped to chief strategy and financial officer, a position that will require him to supervise strategic planning processes and day-to-day television operations. He will continue to report to McMahon.

Stephanie McMahon, executive VP of creative, has been upped to chief brand officer. Her duties will include overseeing the efforts to improve WWE's brand reputation among advertisers, media, business partners and investors. She will continue to work under McMahon.

In addition, Kevin Dunn has become the executive producer for all WWE programming, including Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Main Event and Total Divas. He will also report to McMahon.

Plans for growth at the company include renegotiating major TV rights deals, the potential launch of a WWE network, expansion in global markets, new partnerships and distribution on emerging platforms.

"WWE is entering a new era of unprecedented growth," said McMahon. "I am confident that my senior executive team is now organized more effectively to capitalize on the wealth of opportunities."
