WWE Brings in EVP of Programming

STAMFORD: WWE has hired Matthew Singerman for the newly created post of executive VP of programming.

Singerman will report to Vince McMahon, the chairman and CEO of WWE. He will be expected to handle the strategic development of content, which includes original, unscripted and scripted series. He will also be tasked with scheduling all programming and operations across all distribution platforms.

Singerman has spent more than two decades working in production and programming at numerous networks. He was most recently a consultant for such channels as NFL Network, Nuvo, Pivot and Back9 Network. Earlier he was the senior VP of programming at Reelz Channel, the senior VP of programming and production at TV Guide Network and Fox News Channel's executive producer of morning programming.
