NEW YORK: Adam Devine, who co-stars on Comedy Central’s hit series Workaholics, is taking the lead in the network’s new stand-up program Adam Devine’s House Party.

The channel has ordered eight episodes of the series, which features 24 of Devine’s favorite up-and-coming comedians. The show is set to premiere this fall. Workaholics co-star Kyle Newacheck will be directing and executive producing with Devine. Other executive producers include Avalon Television’s Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner, David Martin and Isaac Horne.

“It’s hard to imagine what could go wrong by giving Adam so much money and turning him loose in a mansion to throw a house party, but we are sure to find out,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s president of content development and original programming.

“I don’t know how I convinced Comedy Central to give me another show, a Hollywood mansion and a paycheck for hanging out with my friends,” added Devine. “I hope they have a good lawyer and the fire department on speed dial.”
