Web Therapy Set for Second Season on Showtime

LOS ANGELES: The half-hour comedy Web Therapy, which started as a web original before getting picked up for TV, has been given an order for a second season from Showtime.

The series stars Lisa Kudrow (Friends) as Fiona Wallice, a self-professed and self-serving psycotherapist who treats patients via a webcam. A number of guest stars are on board for the new season, among them Meryl Streep, Rosie O’Donnell, Conan O’Brien and Minni Driver. Lily Tomlin will reprise her role as Fiona’s mother.

“We are thrilled that Showtime will air more of the half-hour format of Web Therapy, we really love this version of the show,” said Kudrow. “Of course, we are over the moon that Meryl Streep will be in this coming season. She was effortlessly hilarious and it’s a great story. We have Lily Tomlin back who is ALWAYS fantastically funny. Conan O’Brien is beyond, fantastic, he’s a perfect improviser. We’re honestly giddy over the people we have for this season.”
