WBCP Launches Worldwide Toy Program for New Superman Film

BURBANK: Heading into Toy Fair season, Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) has secured a slew of global licensees supporting the summer release of Man of Steel.

Mattel is launching a line of toys that will include action figures, vehicles, playsets and collectibles. The company will also offer Man of Steel QuickShots toys, featuring elements of flight and strength. LEGO is coming out with construction sets based on significant scenes from the movie, while Rubie’s Costume Co. is releasing a new line of Man of Steel-inspired costumes and accessories for children and adults alike.

Other partners include, among others, Thinkway Toys with a full role-play line, RC vehicles and other toys; Jakks Pacific with Man of Steel and Superman collectible and novelty items; Cardinal Industries with a number of games and puzzles; Sideshow Collectibles with statues; Noble Collection with prop replicas; NECA and Funko with figures; and Kotobukiya and SquareEnix with high-end creations.
