Vuguru Names Head of Distribution & Marketing

BEVERLY HILLS: Vuguru has hired Scott Nocas as head of distribution and marketing, reporting to the company’s president, Larry Tanz.

Recently, Nocas has been working with clients to build multiplatform businesses, including creating a digital strategy for Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment. In the past he has led original content launches for some of the world’s largest digital video distribution platforms. At Sony Network Entertainment, Nocas led the Playstation Network and Sony Entertainment Network (formerly Qriocity) video services global content programming and marketing. Nocas also worked at Microsoft where he was responsible for Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace strategy.

“Vuguru is developing and financing a substantial slate of scripted multiplatform projects with several already in post production,” Tanz said. “Scott’s background in marketing coupled with his expertise in global digital distribution will be instrumental in helping Vuguru bring these projects to massive global audiences.”
