Virgin Produced Creates In-Flight Channel

SAN FRANCISCO: Virgin America has beefed up the offerings on its Red in-flight entertainment platform, including the addition of the new Virgin Produced Channel.

Starting this month, Virgin America flights across North America can access the new channel, created via a unique partnership with Virgin Produced. The channel will offer content from such well-known names as Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Judd Apatow (Funny or Die); Ben Stiller (Red Hour Digital); Seth Green and Matthew Senreich (Stoopid Monkey Productions) and will.i.am. In addition to its original content, the Virgin Produced Channel will feature programming from the likes of AEG, VICE, Relativity Media/Rogue, Daily Variety, Barry Katz Entertainment, What’s Trending and Steven Schneider.

The Red platform already offers 24 TV channels, more than 25 on-demand films, a 3,000 song library, video games, interactive maps and more.
